Default Kuhmo Ecsta STX Tires

Are these good performance tires? I have found them pretty cheap. I am looking at a 285/50/20. I had Hankook Ventus STs in the same size on my last truck that worked out well. My only other pick would be a set of General Grabber UHP. What does everyone think? I know a lot of folks run the Generals and that is what I was kinda leaning towards.

I liked the Kumhos on my Avalanche. I was on my second pair of 305/50-20's when I sold it.

I liked them when I had them. Then I picked up Hankook Ventus H06 and absolutely LOVE these. Notice ride improvement and better tread wear. Traction has been great.

I ran them. Good tire. I burned two down past the tread and they still hold air. They are thick.

Keep in mind the Ecsta STX for the truck are a high-performance, truck-specific tire and likely not the same compound as your car tires. Regarding rain, the STX's on my 6,000 lb. Avalanche were very predictable and above average in the rain.

I've run both, the Kumhos and the Generals, and was happy with both. I will say that the ride is better with the Generals, but that's probably just because of the sidewall difference (275/45 20 for the Kunhos vs. 285/50 20 for the Generals)
