Lakewood Traction bar issue

Lakewood Traction bar issue
Here is my truck. 99 Silverado with a LQ4 with long tube headers. Truck has a 5 speed and 3.42 positive traction rearend. Tires are 20 inchers. Truck has 3 inch lowering springs in the front and a 4 inch kit in the rear.
Here is the problem I'm having.
The right rear is spinning and the left rear is not. Kind of like a open rear will do. However, the rearend is a factory locker and has a set of Lakewood bars on it.
I keep checking to make sure if I have the bars adjusted right. My driver side bar keeps bottoming out on the spring. I set this gap at a 1/4 inch and it will work itself to bottoming out.
My passenger side bar keeps its 1/4 inch gap fairly good, but I still get alot of tire smoke when dumping the clutch at 2000 through 1st gear and into second.
The driveside will just leave about a 3 foot section of rubber.
What is causing this bar to work itself up against the spring? Is this causing the traction issue?
Should I just cut the snubber to get that 1/4 inch?
Thanks

Actually I just replaced the rearend.
I got this factory locker out of junkyard with a warranty.
You could still see the paint on the gear teeth where they set the pinion.
I guess it could be broke though.
