Also auto4wd keeps the front hubs engaged anyway so whatever you think you are picking up is in your head IMO.

Auto 4wd is for city boys JFWYall. If you launch in 4wd, use 4 hi. I know I ran 14.2 in 4 hi with 31" tires spinning all 4, and 13.7 in 2wd, but I had smaller stickier tires in the back. I cant confirm or deny if there is a difference between running in 2 or 4wd, but if I can hook I run in 2wd. Thats just personal though.

BTW slow you aint puttin down no power, you dont know what power is.

I have never raced before, how much different in the track then on street. While I hook better on the track right? So just try out both then?

at your power level it seems awfully excessive to run in 4wd.

Is it true that "heating up" stock tires causes them to glaze and lower traction?

well thanks for clearing that up Slow....

I figured it was ok cosidering our t-cases are good for 5555 ft/lbs of tq....

But now that you say that I'll make sure I am it 4hi EVERY time. I usually put it in auto when I race from stop lights, not at the track.
