That was funny. ...Just got back from the tranny shop. No codes in the computer other than an injector circuit, not related to my tranny. Shop ordered a part to connect my truck to something called a trans X. This will allow him to see all the computer commands and command shifts himself etc... This should tell me what my issue is, electronic or mechanical. He is pretty sure there is mechanical problem cause when he put it in R and goosed it; it didn't pull for **** and made an awesome grinding sound. Doesn't do it at normal "backing out of the driveway" speed. He thinks my ?? shell is broken (the Beast). Hopefully Thursday I will get the trans X scan and drop the pan. More to follow....

He may have said ?? Drum. He showed me a new one of what he thought was bad. It looks like a stainless steel coffee can with teeth in the center cutout. Said it would have broken at the weld but he had never heard of anyone breaking a "Beast" I'm probably not even pushing 300 RWHP so I cant imagine I broke one either. The guys who sold me the tranny and the guy at the tranny shop are both interested in what the problem is because they have never seen this before. They have vowed to get to the bottom of it.
When I had the truck on the scanner during the test drive, the PCM was commanding the tranny to go to 2nd, by sending signals to open and close solenoids, but the tranny didn't respond. The funny thing is as soon as the PCM commanded the 1-2 shift a high pitch "tuning fork" sound came from under the hood ?? and stayed until about 3000 rpm in 1st gear, then it would jump to 3rd. None of the guys had ever heard that before. Always happened at the exact moment the PCM commanded 2nd gear. My truck is Haunted. I will post as new info comes, won't be until Thursday night.

When I broke my stock sun shell, it didn't make any funky noises, it just went from 1st to 3rd - no 2nd or OD. I had the "Beast" installed and my tranny guy said the same..."no one's ever grenaded one of these." Time will tell now that I have all TM removed.
