I am the only one who can hear my US 3.90 gears I have had lots of people in my truck even a mechanic and no one can hear them only mevery little. They were 250.$ with a install kit.

I paid $180.00 for my OEM gears. I bought them out of fear for the whine. I also heard that OEM gears are relatively strong. The G80's are what suck.

Just so you know, most of the oe stuff is a 3 angle cut, which is the new style cut. And the current pn is 3988515.
They are the best way to go for the little extra cash.

yukon gears are quieter than even stockers,randys has em. Former stealership master tech.

Not to disagree, but the stuff he sells is the same stuff most people sell. They dont actually manufacture gears. Also, the GM gears are quiet the most often. A quiet gear is a quiet gear, but the OEM ones just have less noise problems overall. I have sold and installed many gears, and for my jobs I use the OE if it is available, especially in hatchbacks and vans.

And like M said, even Randys will probably tell you to install OE if you are putting them in a van or wagon.

Also some of their boxed gears are OE in the Yukon/Usgear box.
