I need a shorter rear drive shaft to complete my 80E swap.

Questions---

Do i have to use an aluminum driveshaft or is steel OK on my Ext. cab shrotbed?

What are some of you guys running?

If aluminum 4'' or 5''

Steel 3.5 '' ????


I found some nice shafts from Driveshaft specialist as reccomened by a friend but a 5'' Aluminum is over 600$ !!!!!

I just would like to find a place or idea that wont be too expensive, I dont want cheap, just less expensive.

Any opinions on options are very much appreciated.

I run 3.5" steel that is rated for 800hp. I think it was around $400 from driveshaftspecialist

400$ is better than 6 bones, i can live with that.
