You might also want to contact Sean@Speed Eng. Last I heard, they were getting close with their semi-boltin 4link kit for our trucks.

i think i would rather have a 4-link than ladder bars. sure they might be more involved in getting it set up but when it does you know its going to hold the power. also look for a triangulated panhard bar. that might be your best bet to keep the rear end on track.

also what rear axle are you going to use with it?

OK Back to the Back.....Half....LOL

Item: 7132
Description:
Details: REAR FRAME,LOW-PROFILE,WITH BENDS
Made out of 2x3 x.120" wall mild steel tubing. The low profile design is for full size pickups, this keeps the frame under the stock bed. The heavy duty .120 wall tubing used has enough rigidity to be used without a roll cage. We do not recommend you use this frame if you plan on hauling or towing a trailer. The frame attaches to the OEM frame with the 120 degree bends and the 6 1/2" dropped crossmember. Minimum outside width for this frame is 26". It is designed for our part no. 6270 urethane bushed 4-link. Kit includes rear frame rails; 6-1/2" dropped crossmember; shock crossmember; upper shock mounting tabs and hardware; rear frame 2x3" crossmember; instructions and drawing. Shipped unassembled by UPS.

Unit of Measure: EACH

Item Pricing: $435.00

in my dreams I would have this with it:

But we will prob use a Ford 9 inch housing that has been modified to work with the 4link

I don't think you would need something THAT radical, but my suggestion would be to go with the 9" Ford housing. MUCH easier to change the gearset to suit your tastes. As far as ladder bar vs 4 link, just remember that with the 4 link, there's an ENDLESS combination of bar lengths, but only a few work correctly. Like I said before, stick with a name brand chassis manufacturer. S&W, Rick Jones (RJ Race cars),Alston, or Morrison will be able to provide the assistance you might need on set-ups.
