Any ideas on good reliable place to buy a 4l80e. Its going in my turbo Sierra 2500 2wd. makes around 500rwhp @ 10psi... Third gear is slipping bad in the stock tranny with 175K miles; seeing high tranny temps while logging with EFI live.

 

not sure this is the right section for your question but I have a FLT level 4 4L80e, I have read of others using different sponsor trans builders and even just getting a junkyard 4l80e and having good success with it. Anyhow I like my 4l80e from FLT does the job and I feel that I won't be blowing it up anytime soon.

 

I have a 4l80 e with only 2500 miles on the fresh rebuild and it got a brand new converter at the time of rebuild. It 4x4 and comes with the transfercase. I'm selling it for only $1000. Due to the fact that I'm owed money for work on the customers other vehicles and when he didn't pay I took the Trans . I can check to see if the shop who did the rebuild would transfer the 2 yr warranty. I'm right below u on long island . Let me know maybe we can meet up.Here's a link to the post on here

I know a few people that have picked them up on craigs list and then had them rebuilt. Also we have site sponsors that specialize in building transmissions, I would suggest giving them a call and see what they can do for you.
