Default Looking to beef up a 4L60E a little...

Is the transgo jr kit the best deal without having to tear down the tranny?

Doing a swap of a 4x4 4l60e into my 2000 tahoe 4x2 and converting to 4 wheel drive (another story altogether). Going to be swapping trannies in about 2 weeks and figure I should do something to the tranny as long as its out right now, but dont feel comfortable doing a full build. Transgo Jr. kit right for me? That place I linked to above... Monster @ $155 and free shipping the best deal around? Thanks!

Also anything else I can do like corvette servo, etc? The tahoe will be tuned with EFI live if that matters at all. Thanks

It's a gamble...I know guys running 400hp on otherwise stock 60e's but I wouldn't do it. Shift kit and servo will help but even stock trucks blow out th 4L60e sometimes. A trans cooler is also a mod worth mentioning.

Agrees. HD2 (no washers) + Sonnax 2nd & 4th servos + Red Eagle 3-4 clutches

If you're going to go so far to change internal parts (those in the case, behind the pump), you might want to consider a bolt-up rebuild from one of two sponsors here (FLT or Performabuilt). Both sponsors have gotten positive reviews from satisfied customers.
