Losing fluid out of slip yolk after long sit?
After trans was rebuilt and a restalled trailblazer converter was installed I lose 1.5 qts or so if I let it sit without running it. i am thinking the converter is the cause. What do you transmission experts think?

well im not saying this is the proper way to fix it, but on mine there is a little breather hole on the slip yoke that was leaking fluid when i let it sit, so i removed the yoke, and filled the hole with jb-weld. have not had a problem since. im sure that replacing the seal is the proper way to fix it but....it did work well for me

Need to figure out exactly where it's coming from. Either between the seal and the yoke, or out the welch plug at the end of the yoke.
A lot of builders just remove the output shaft sleeve and o-ring on the output shaft that seals the yoke for whatever reason. This might be your case here.

As mentioned in this thread the issue is more than likely that your leak is from the back of the slip yoke. Either your builder forgot to install the metal cup that's is pressed on the output shaft, the seal inside the cup is missing, or the cup is loose on the shaft and is causing your leak. The quick fix here is to seal up the back of the yoke if in fact that is where the fluid is coming from. Vince
