Default lowered NBS crew cab guys...chime in

I'm doing a 2/4 on my NBS CC, but I was told today by a member on customgm that lift shackles do not work with the CC trucks. He sent me pics, he tried them on his truck, and another.

Anyone have any insight? There has to be a couple 2/4 guys with crew cabs here, or point me in the right direction. I'm banned on gmfs, so that won't help, and no one on CGM is 2/4 with CC.

They worked on mine. I have a flip and then lift shackle to raise it up because it was too low. There were 2 holes, I rode on the lower one for a while and then raised it up to the second no problems

Thanks...so to confirm, you ran a flip on your nbs crew cab with lift shackles. Brand?

The pic was of DJM I believe.

I also want to see pictures of this setup because I have heard of them but never seen it. Also cdub81 yours is 4wd so that could also affect it. Im not sure if the hangers are exactly the same but im pretty sure they are but 4wd sits higher than stock so that would mean its alittle different than a 2wd.... Just would like to make sure before he goes thru and spends the money.

Hey Jared, over on gmfs I just picked up a 4-5" flip from Tony (Norcalss).

He said it is an adjustable 4" or 5" flip kit... so It may have shackles that 'lift' it up from 6" to either 5 or 4" drop.

I'll know more once I get the kit. Ordered it Friday. Doing a 3/5 - 3" drop Beltech springs front, flip in rear.

Yes its 4wd but the only difference in that and a 2wd is the lift block other than that its the same in the rear or at least in my case it was.

Yes flip kit and shackles all from Mcg. You can see the 2 holes, thats how i adjusted it up. Did the first hole at first then the second to be where I'm at today. Only thing i changed was the flip hardware to djm hardware to try and correct pinion angle with djm adjustable pinion. It's still not enough so I'm gonna have to get the perches cut and re welded with correct angle.

Heres a pic when they were on the "1st" hole. It sits almost an inch higher now in the back. I forgot about this thread, I can get a current stance picture tomorrow. I've played with the keys a little here and there but it basically sits the same in the front

Thanks both of you.

Vegas, I am banned, but he is a vendor on customgm too...I've talked with him and one other vendor.

Two more questions vegas...what are you at in your sig? and 20" TBSS? did you have them drilled out to run 20"...I thought they only made the 22" in our bolt pattern?

Sig is a P'shop... drop isn't on yet, I'm still at stock height.

I had custom adapters made from motorsport-tech.com. Adapters cost me $280 & are wheel/hub centric (tight f'n fit).

Found the TBSS stock wheels on CL locally for $600 with tires (265/50).

I'm in for $880 total for the wheels + adapters. Way cheaper than going with rep 22"s with tires imo. So I went that way.
