Default lowering the rear: Spring under or do a kit?

Got an 85 c10 std. cab short bed. The front has Belltech 3" drop spindles, (I'm not sure if the springs are a stock height or if they are shorter too.)
The rear is the factory spring over, but has two leafs per side with traction bars and a 315/60/15 (30x12.50) et street radial on it. They stick out just a touch to far and the tire is to big. Im going with a 28x10.50 for my next tire, which should enable me to be able to drop the rear down where the tires will tuck inside the bed.
If I were to do a spring under set up I would get about 4.5" of drop. but I'm not sure if I have the clearance to do this with the bump-stops above the axle or if there may be any other obstructions? but it would be free of cost to do.
Or is there a reasonably priced lowering kit that I should go with to get me between 4-6 inches of drop?

The truck runs a 13.16, with the new tires in a better tune I should be able to get high 12's. I want to lower it for cheap and still be able to hook when I launch.

Your thoughts?????????????
