About the only better ratios I saw while still sticking with a GM T56, is one from a GTO as opposed to an F-body. 2.97 first gear I think, with shorter ratios all the way around. Other than that, the only way to get better gears, I guess, is to install custom gearsets. Which is $$.

there is a guy on www.zr2usa.com that is an engineer for GM that has and has for a while had an LS1 in his ZR2 pickup. his name on there is LS1 Mike
