Default LS1 Stall in my truck. Will it work?

Ok, first of all I spend a good 30 minutes searching for this and found 1 thread, which only a couple people said it would work, but I found a 2600 stall converter for an ls1. I've heard it will work and it will stall higher in a silverado. Here's the quick questions

Will it work in my 4l60e?
How high should I expect it to stall if it stalls to 2600 in a camaro?

EDIT-it's a stealth thruster 2600 if that makes a difference.

seems like it would stall higher in a camaro because they have more torque

I am by no means saying your wrong, BUT from what i've read, people have said it stalls higher in a heavier silverado.

torque converters work off of the torque of a motor, not the weight.

can you post some links to these threads your talking about?

is it out of an LS1? I want to be absolutely sure it will work before I buy it.

So i take it a 2600 stall would stall up to around 2800 in my truck?

Also, would it feel looser or tighter in a truck?

yeah, but arent you on a 408? i'd say that would push just a tad more torque than the ls1

damn that's true.

It might not be bad though since right now i won't need more than a 2600 stall and I guess once I do the 6.0 with tr224 or similar swap I'd have a little more torque to make it stall higher. I know i'll never want bigger than a 3000 stall since it's my daily drive and 99% of it's miles are highway.
