lt1 t56 into a 5.3 ls? possible?
i have a 5.3 engine out of a 2001 tahoe and i want to install it in my 87 s10. the thing is that i have a t56 from my wrecked 1995 trans am. is it possible? if so what will i need and where can i get the parts? thanks...
i have both harnesses from both cars! also have the driveshaft and the rear end from both cars...(buddy wrecked tahoe. i wrecked 95 ws6

transdapt for motor mounts and i think they even have headers for this swap. you wont need much more than you already have. the tahoe harness is a goldmine of goodies. there are tons of threads on here detailing LSx swaps.

i plan to make my truck a fast street truck with plans to the track from time to time.you suggest makin the t56 fit or get a 4l60e trans that comes with the engine? which will hold best? gas milage is not an issue i think ill get pretty good gas mileage with a 2700 lb truck
