Default m/t drag radials

ok so i bought a set of 275/40/17 mickey thompson drag radials and i got a set of stock 17x7.5 silverado rims any body run this setup before some say it will fit and be fine others say not to run them what do you say ?

they will work I've done it but it doesn't look that great and you need to run less air pressure like 13-16lbs but I got a 175 60' on the exact setup and it handles fine

The side wall have 1.250'' more buldge in each side than if you had a 10'' wide rim, Which affects how much tire you have sitting flat on the ground

You would probably benefit more from a bigger sidewall like a 50, so there is more flexablilty in the tire IMO. I run 275/50/17 M&H Racemaster drag radials on 17x9.5 steel Cragars, 18-20 PSI..........
