Manual trans identification help needed? T56 or not?
I have a manual trans that supposedly came out of a 94-97 F-Body. This is supposed to be a six speed however I'd like to confirm that before I drive 4 hrs to go get it.
There is a sticker on the top that reads:
13-86-009
Borg Warner Automotive
61DLF U022051
On a tag on the side is:
12550647 M0742
1386-009 D 37247
Near the shifter as part of the case is
13-86-066-904
Can anybody tell me what this trans is?
5 speed?
6 speed?
The guy told me he can shift it and there seems to be only forward gears. He said this by turning the input shaft and feeling that the output went in the same direction. He asked me if there was a trick to finding reverse. Any help there?
There are also 3 electrical connections
1 on the drivers side near the shifter
1 on the passenger side in the case
1 on the drivers side in the case
Anybody know what each of these is?
I'd appreciate all the help I can get. I have a chance to get this, the clutch, pressure plate, throwout brg, flywheel, pedals, slave cyl, driveshaft for a decent deal if I go pick it up.
Thanks in advance,
Bo

Thanks!
I take it from the http://www.autogear.net/pdfs/T56_Camaro_2.pdf link that there is a reverse lockout solenoid,E3, up near the shifter handle at the top that needs to be somehow bypassed to get into reverse. Anybody know how to bypass or operate this when swapping it into a truck?
I won't be able to get all of the wiring plugs for the car as it's gone. Anybody help with where to get those?
