I hate the push button 4 wheel drive, has anyone ever converted over to a Manual. The only reason I like driving my ford truck in the winter is that I can quickly switch between 2 and 4 with nice positive feeling shifts. If i have to go through another Alaskan winter with waiting seven to ten seconds every time I want to go into four wheel drive I am going to go crazy.

During lunch I went and test drove one with a floor shifter, and I could here the motor moving the gears, is there a real firm mechanical modification I could do?
