hey guys im from the ls1tech forum with a couple questions on tranny's for a diesle truck. well my father has a 1985 pick up with a built 6.5 turbo diesle with 26psi and propain..now this is his everyday performance work truck. its a preaty fast truck and can never get a tranny to work for long. its has a turbo 400 built and gear vender to handle all kinds of power but somthing always gos wrong. starts slipping brakes somthing or linkage go's. hes been to a few performance shop to get a built pruff 400 there supose to be one of the strongest to have. what are u guys runny for trannys in ur trucks or where dose he go to get one thats stronger enough. he wants to stay away form computer controled ones like the 4L80E. which have been proven in trucks. oh yeh he also pulls 6x12 trailer weighing up to 7000lb's of roofing shingles with no problems. just need some edvise tired of breaking **** haha

Call Chuck or Vince @ FLT. They are fantastic tranny builders and stand behind their work. If they don't think they can build one to handle your needs, they will say they can't. I think you would be happy with them.
