McGaughy's 3/5 Drop On '03 1500HD

Thanks Grippy.
hmmmmmmmmmmmm....I think you could make the 2500DX23E kit work for you. They advertise it as a 2/4 drop but you should be able to get 3/5 out of it. The hangers/shackles on the rear are adjustable for 3",4" or 5" drop and the keys up front should give you 2". With the stock keys on mine adjusted so they were sitting on the threaded support blocks I had a rake of 3" front to rear measuring to the wheel lip opening. Mine came that way so I guess they forgot to adjust the keys on the line or that is the way they set them. My truck seems to ride really well with just the keys installed up front. Then you can have a range of drops from 2/3 to 3/5 as best suits your needs for looks, traction and tires.

L82gofast,
Thanks
I have been looking at H2 take offs as a way to go for wheels but I am still looking around. Seems 8 lug wheels are a little harder to find. What tires are you running and do you feel that you lost any performance with them? With the 17" rims the spindles will fit but you might have to grind a little off of the lower ball joint bolt. No big deal really. By the way I managed to get mine on without moving the gas tank or removing the factory hitch. I think you will like this kit.
Fandango and Whistlin00,
Thanks Guys

I am running Brigstone Dueller HP's 275/60 I am on my 2nd set of these since I like them alot. It really changed the handling of the truck. You will lose a bit of load capacity compared to the stock tires but its well worth it if you don't do a lot of haulin. They hook up well also, the stock tires were worthless with the blower.
