Nah tuning didn't effect the rpm it'd stall too just lock up speeds, etc. If it make you feel better my Circle D 34-3600 only foot brakes 3000 on street tires but the performance improvement is great!

A 3600 converter wont foot brake to 3600 if it is a tight/normal converter, it will flash to around 3600. Meaning when you go WOT, it should jump to about 3600 rpm to begin moving.

Only really loose converters brake stall high.

Mine brake stalls 4000...lol Agreed with the others though, 3600 is the flash stall, not the foot brake rpm.

The flash stall range is 3600-3800. Any converter's advertised stall range is the flash stall, meaning when you punch it off idle it will "flash" to 3600rpm. Brake stall range will always be lower than the advertised flash stall range. You said you can brake stall it to about 2800rpm, that sounds perfectly normal to me. I would say your converter is working just as it should.

If you want a converter that will brake stall to 3600, the thing is probably going to flash to like 4500 rpm and be very loose while driving around.

who did you get the converter from? most companies will give you a restall free of charge the first eyar you own it.. but yeah like others mentioned, you actually got what you asked for
