Default More suspension questions

I think i have my Long Bars sold, Im goin to build a Caltrac style setup. I found Rancho 9000XLs for $79 each free shipping

So im goin to start with Rancho's in the rear with the Caltracs.
If i cant get it to leave the line, i might try Rancho's in the front.
Since they are 9 way adjustable i could set the front on 9 and the rear on 1 or 2, remove the front sway bar and see if it will transfer any weight for me..

What are your guys thoughts?

Im hoping the shocks let the truck move..

well on 1 it compresses fast and rebounds slow... 9 it compresses slow and rebounds fast..

Wouldnt i want the front to raise up fast and on 9 it should keep it up?

Im just thinking out loud so lemme know if i have it all messed up..

here's an easy way to think about it...
1 is loose to let the front end rise up, 9 would be stiff and not let the front end rise.

i run the rancho 9000x shocks. they will let the rear suspension move great. set it down to 3-5 for the street and crank them up to 7-9 for the track. i just did a flip kit and switched my rancho 9000x for some shorter rancho 9000x shocks.

if you building your own caltracs...a tip i got from calvert was to put the bars as parallel to the ground as possible. thats the reason for my flip kit.

yeah 1 makes it loose compression and decompression...9 makes it stiff both ways. i dont think its a great front drag shock...

calvert makes some shocks that are supposed to be great for drag but they are pricey...they suposedly extend really easily, but are tough to compress.

AH!!! i see now..
I thought it was a slower rebound/fast compression i didnt know its like opening up the orfice so it moves faster both ways...

Ill just stick with removing the sway bar for now..

Ill see what i can do with the Caltrac style bars. Level to the ground with no load on the suspension?
