Didn't know you had all that done to it...

You could do a Ford Torino end's with a 9 inch bearings on custom axles in the 14 bolt. There 33 spline.

For the time being the cover might help but you're probably on borrowed time.

Did you weld up the axle tubes on the HOE???

Not familiar with them.

Sound's like what they did was get custom made axles using ford 9 inch bearings with Torino ends. The 8.5 has a 30 spline carrier. The ford ends and bearings would retain the axles like a c-clip eliminator.

Most axle manufacturers can make them fairly simple. They use a standard 9 inch Axle blank. They drill the bolt pattern, cut them to length and spline them when you order them. Usually a 2-3 day lead time on standard axles. High end racing ones take longer because they have to be heat treated.

That sounds like what was done I know the diff goes together like the fords so i guess there is no need for the eleminators DUH ! im a dumb *** , they had the diff for almost 2 weeks and had to wait on axles

No harm no Fowel.

I have been told 1 week lead time on axles before only for it to take a little longer.

Strange is good at that as well as Dutchmen.

I learned me a little bit here and there...

Seriously though, I was actually considering something like this for a C-clip alternative on the 14 bolt 9.5 but the work to get the stock brakes to work was to much hassle. Most people upgrading the brakes and the internals aren't afraid to spend a little more to go the 9 inch route.

I was building a 9 inch but it was pointed out to me that a huge company we work with on some of our builds would be very unhappy to see a 9 inch in it and that it might effect future projects
