Default Motor Mount shims and drive angle

I am planning on replacing motor mounts. Was wondering if I added 1/4" shims on engine side and maybe (1/8") under tranny mount would this upset angle or cause some other problem I didn't think of. Would like to move my long tubes a little higher off the frame (besides just shifting motor or tenderizing LT's). The new mounts themselves should help a little.
