I agree, should have saved some cash and just got a smaller cooler and put it where its supose to go if you didnt want the temps to drop much, My trans temps never go over 125* in 100+* weather with my 40k..
Whatever works for you tho..

Mine is in front of the radiator and works great.. i went on a 1000 mile trip on the highway, and my tranny temps were about 105 the whole trip

Bunch of haters up in here. Looks good, clean install. Just make sure those lines are flared if your using rubber hose, to make sure they don't come off. I don't think your loosing much of anything from mounting it behind the radiator, and it gives alot more room for that front mount...

it does matter. you CAN put it anywhere, but the most effecient place for it is in front of the radiator. TruCool's documentation says to put it there to be most efficient, in between the radiator and fans is the least effecient place for it.

I bypassed my radiator in my cooler setup and used -6 braided hose... with a 32K cooler it runs fine... but I understand why you wanted to move it... I'd personally put it under the truck with a fan on it before I put it there though... let us know how it works after you stuff that intercooler in front if it...

Looking at your set up, did you run factory lines to the added trans cooler? If you did what size AN were the factory lines?
