Default my GMC - Leave it, or Lift it?

Lets take a little vote. I'm somewhat bored with seeing all the slammed trucks, and have always liked lifted trucks just about the same as slammed trucks. I know lifting costs more, but I think it looks meaner. Here are some pics of the way it sits now, and some with a Photoshop lift (6" suspension lift, 33" tires, 18" Boyd wheels)

(stock height, 17" MB wheels)

I'm speaking with a guy on the lifted parts and wheels. I think it really makes the truck look unique <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

If it is a automatic i would be leary of it. My old roomate had a 97 tahoe we lifted it 6 inches with 35's then lifted it another 3 with body lift and 38's. The tranny did not last very long even with being reprogrammed. Plus the gas mileage sucked and it was hard to tow with. Looked bad *** though.

Just remember, the higher you go... the harder it is to get out of after a night of partying <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

LOL! Maybe I need some side steps too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

GM trucks sit alot lower than Ford trucks in the same class. Even with this lift, it is only about 3.5" taller than a stock F150

Tony,
The photoshop lift looks nice. Its not extreme, but does give the truck character. My opinion is do it.

Nice color BTW, is that the dark gray metallic? That and the indigo blue are my favorite GM truck colors.

i say do it! i got only a 3" body lift on my Z and I love it, but as with all things I'm already getting used to the height, now I want to go bigger!!
as i heard one guy say:
"slam it, lift it, just dont leave it stock!!"

i'm not a huge fan of lifted 2WDs but that actually looks pretty good. go for it.

Fulton, you are correct. Its called "storm gray metallic" and is one of my favorite GM colors.

I pulled the trigger earlier this evening, the guy will be delivering the lift/wheels tomorrow morning <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I can't wait to install it all!

Lift it ...

Nothing like being in traffic, a warm summer evening and a low slung car full of hotties pulls up next you in traffic ...

Think about it!
