Default My new custom one-off bogarts arrived!!

I put down the down payment on my bogarts right before christmas and now thier finally paid off here they are side by side for a comparison of how they look. The pics don't do them justice they are a work of art, I almost don't even wanna mount tires on them,lol..

left wheel is the 17x5" front skinny rim, and the right rim is the 16x10" for the slicks.

here is a topdown shot showing just how much smaller it is..

Fronts weigh right at 16lbs a wheel which is a lot more than i expected but Rich Bogart said he had to make them twice as thick as usual due to the extra weight of a fullsize truck and he didnt want to take any chances with them cracking..
rears weigh 12.5lbs this is about 13lbs less each than my old rims i used to use.

so on the fronts i'll be losing 100lbs of rotating mass total (last time i ran the 12.3@109 it was with stock front tires weighing 86lbs a side)
the rears i will be losing 26lbs of rotating mass (those rims weighed 26lbs before the slick was even mounted..)

Those look great! What tire are you running on the front? Are you swapping to a different tire than the slicks in you sig on the rear?

Still going with the hoosier slicks. 28x11.50x16 those keep me in 3rd gear at 5700-5950rpms. I just dont want a extra shift that id surely get with a 26" tall slick. Thier arent many options for 28" tall slicks.. I have to run a 28x4.5x17 front runner from M&H as they are the only ones who make anything strong enough and safe enough for a 5,300lb truck im sure every bit of 3,500 lbs of my weight is on the front of my truck and i dont feel like crashing into the wall at 100mph.. Lol

your hoosiers are the quick time pros right? not the drag? im pretty sure your tires have the same dimensions as my 28x10x16. regarless the wheels look sick! should give you some nice gains for sure

Looks killer. I can't believe how much smaller the 16 looks next to the 17.

yea will still be using the QTP's dont think they are a true slick cause i don't think the sidewall crinkles much if any upon launch, i also run tubes in mine though i'm not drilling holes into my beautiful rims..

Did your truck come with the 5-spoke 18x8's? If so, do you know what they weigh without tires?

yea mine came with SE charcoal 5 spoke rims, with tires they are 87lbs.. so my guess is stock rims weigh about 38-45lbs atleast..

Maybe I missed it... What size tire are you gonna run on the fronts?

Those wheels are killer. When I win the lottery, I'm ordering a set.
