Talked to TCI since they did not call my builder, we spoke ona 3 way and they said that what was explained is not normal and I had to leave a msg with their warranty rep, which I did. The rep said that the TCI warranty rep can authorize a refund for labor, I can hear it now, it was not our part sorry...

Why didn't you just use your drum or buy a new OEM one and use the sonnax sleeve? Thats basically what the tci drum is.

The kit I bought included a Hardend shaft that was already pressed into the drum. I talked to a brent today at TCI and they want me to ship the item in.
They said they might cover some of the labor. I wrote down one of the guys that said it was ok to install. To me the warranty guy was surprised the builder used th part. I told him because 3 tci tech reps said to.

Now I have to get my truck from my parents house to the builder 40 miles away. Estimates of the tow are $200-$250. I'll just drive it in the middle of the night at 30 mph and my side arm.

The builder said just keep the new one they send you and use it when this oem one breaks. Not so sure about that since i'll be up in teh 400 range plus a 150 or 175 wet shot.

What did the drum cost? Its probably just a 65e input drum and shaft assembly.

Still without my truck. the TCI replacement parts came in earliy this month.
The guy I used does good work but Damn, is commig up with all these excuses on why its not done, It was my birthday, fathers day weekend, family came over, neighbor got hurt and he had to be the good samaratin for a few days. WTF do I have to do with that. I paid for a service and still nada.

SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH A SPONSORS BUILD. i could have converted for an 80e and bought the best one for what I am out with this guy.

Tranny guy called me said that there was a valve that was sticking. He repalced 1 steel and 1 clutch that were questionable and gave the clearance needed.

I get it back today. I bought the 40k trucool and will put that in this weekend if it comes in alond with a digital tans temp guage and dual pod for the pillar.

I am buying an 80e that runs for 700 and going to start collecting the parts for the swap. So when it craps out I just have the 80e and the rest of the parts & a shift kit.
