My turn for the 4l80e swap
My truck is a 2000 silvy rcsb 4x4 with autotrac. I have a line on a 2000 4l80e from a 6.0 4x4.I need confirmation on some things. First is that the tranny I need and will my autotrac bolt righ up? I need the flex plate from the 6.0 to go with the tranny. I've read that I don't need a spacer with the 99/2000 tranny. I will have to modify the cross member. Where is the cheapest to get a pigtail adapter? I've read that my driveshafts will be fine but will have to upgrade the yolk. I have someone to deal with the tune. Anything else?

I seen the first page but went on elsewhere. I see his is a ec mine is a rc, I was told that I won't need any playing with the driveshafts. This is the reasoning for my "me" specific questioning as I've read that different people have different setups. Why is he messing with the Transfercase input shaft? Is it necessisary or was it something he wanted?.

You have to swap out the T-Case input gear as the 60E and 80E have different size and # of spline output shafts. As for driveshafts I cannot say for sure but the 80E is longer no matter what configuration, I know I am going to have to shorten my driveshaft on mine when I do the swap shortly as well as get a longer front driveshaft.
