I actually tried to talk the inspection guys out of dyno testing my truck for smog a few years ago (just cause I didn't trust that they knew what they were doing...didn't want to carry my driveshaft home in a basket). Anyway, I mentioned how I have the autotrak and they said "no problem, we won't take it out of 2HI"...I guess they were a little smarter than they looked

Know that I think about it, auto-trac on a dyno is a big liability. If you accidentally hit the 4hi button, The truck will try to rip itself from the dyno when you lift off the throtttle.

Its the whole electronic transfer case system. Non-auto trac 4x4's have the manual shifter on the floor.

I was browsing the show room at the time of buying my GMC truck and i seen the sticker on the AWD Denali's only. The Denali and most AWD GM vheicles has no transfe-case control in the cab. Its all done "automatic". So i can see the reason for the sticker. But on just a 4x4 pickup, should be no prob dynoing.

Manuals are shift on the fly. I prefer the manual over the electronic shift.
