need a better manual trans for my LQ9
I have a black 2000 ECSB 2wd 5 speed silverado LS that I bought in May '05. I swapped in an '02 LQ9 in June. Since then I have destroyed 2 nv3500 trannies. I need a tranny that can easily handle 500hp. I had to buy a flywheel for an '02 HD 6.0L which was $300 and I have a hurst short throw shifter that was $170. If at all possible, I'd like to be able to reuse these. I was also wondering what 5 speed was used in the Joe Gibbs truck and if that would be a good one to use.

I did the t56, I love it. I am running the sts 67 turbo, fmic, 42lbs injectors, 6.0 heads, 918 springs, zo6 cam. I am still breaking in the clutch (Oz 700), so I have been babying it. I should have some #'s soon. It's a real easy swap, if you have a 5 speed truck and you changed the motor. Because the crank sticks out alittle more with the 4.8 equiped with the nv3500.
