With what you posted, ideally for a lighter vehicle, a 4000 stall would be perfect. But since you have a heavier (truck) vehicle, you need to lower that stall speed consideration. The heavier weight will make the rated stall higher. I would say get at least a 3600 stall. Since you mention you want it for street manners and track (1/4 only?), I would suggest a 2.4 STR or more. The reason the TT3000 worked better is because it has a higher STR and the stall was probably around 3200-3300, the Vig in such a heavy vehicle was about a 3400-3500, but it has an STR of about 2.17. This is too loose for a heavy application and would results in sub-par 60'. Remember, Vig's rating are 400 rpms lower then where they stall, so the Vig3200 is actually a 3600, and when used in a truck it's true stall is more like 3800-3900.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I'm an ext. cab. It is my only vehicle so that's why I'd like to keep some street manners. I was originally thinking a 3600 and from what you guys are saying, this seems to be around what I want. I'll try it and post up the results. Thanks again!
