Default Need help NV3500 to 4L80E swap.

I'm sure there are plenty of post about doing this swap, but I am having no luck at finding it. So I am very sorry for being a pain...
This is all new for me. (was Honda Technician for 15+ years, but never messed with Domestic)

But I NEED some guidance...

I have a 03 RCSB, 4.8 (with a few mods). I just picked up a 4L80E out of a 96 Silverado 2500HD (going to rebuild)

I'm wanting to find out what all I will need?
Will the 96 trans work with PCM?
Whats a good floor shifter? What cables will I need?
Will factory bolts (engine to bell housing) work?
will I need to get a different starter?
just use a OEM 4L80E flex plate?
anyone sell driveshaft for this swap?

I just got my cross member (from dirt track racer 81) and looks AWESOME...
Thinking about getting harness, 4L80E Add-On Harness
Going to have it tuned at PCM of NC

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Please, just a little help.

Could someone please just guide me to a good post on swapping:

NV3500 to 4L80E in a 03 Silverado RCSB 2wd.

What Flex plate?
Need to get different starter?

Thank you

You could just call a parts store or something and ask if the starter part numbers for a manual or automatic is different.

From what I did from a quick search, only the 4.3 starter is a different style because the engine block is different. The automatic and manual transmission on a 4.8 is the same. I saw no difference in part numbers. The 6.0 has a different number but it's likely just more power to turn over the larger engine, the bolt holes are exactly the same because the 4.8/5.3/6.0 all share the same engine block.

Use the 4L80e flex plate if you are using a 4L80e torque converter.

Get a built driveshaft made locally or source one from a vendor. I highly suggest you go with a 3in THICK walled driveshaft that will support speeds well over 100mph.
