There are several ways to get a 2/4 drop. In thr front you can use springs, spindles, or control arms. The rear, you can use hangers/shackles or new leafs.

I have had a djm calmax kit on my truck for 4 years with no problems. I have helper bags and tow a 5000 boat with no problems. New kits range in price depending on what kit you go with. I paid $400.00 for mine without shocks.

With a 3/4 drop, I would recomend a a 275/45R20 tire. I had and many other have this combo and it works well with no rubbing issues.

You are going to lose turning radius with the spindles and with towing, you may need the radius. That is why i went with lower control arms.

I would recomend helper air bags as well to prevent sagging.

Here is a really old pic of my truck when it had 20's. The only one i found was one wuth my girlfriend in it. The back probably had air in the bags and that is why it is sitting high. I think with 20's and a 275/45R20, a 2/4 drop is the way to go.

I purchased my kit from Godfather Customs for $395.00 lke 4 years ago.

You can reuse the front shocks, but if they are worn or bouncy, I would change them. I would definately recommend new rear shocks which vary in cost depending on brand. You will need an alignment when you finish the drop.

J's01silverado: Hey man, i noticed in your sig your running 22's now. I was curious what size tires your running on the 22's and if that is still a 2/4 drop. If it is, i think you have me sold on one!!

Ive been trying to decide how low to go with my 06 crewcab chevy. I have 22's on it right now with 265/40/22 tires. I have been wanting a 4/6 but in order to do that, i believe i would have to buy new 265/35/22's to clear it and i would have to notch my frame. Not to mention, the truck will be daily driven and i haul dirtbikes on occasion so im not sure if it would be best for me to go that low. I just want that super low look with all the normal uses of the truck to still be there. If yours is a 2/4, ill probably just do that since i wont have to notch my frame and it will still have decent clearance for a daily driven vehicle. LMK. thanks man!!

I currently have a 2/4 DJM Calmax drop with 22's. I am currently running 305/35R22 with SLIGHT rubbing issues. Previous to the 305's, I ran 285/35R22's with NO rubbing issues. Basically, with a 2/4, you can comfortably fit a 30" tire combo in there with no rubbing issues. The 285 tires was 28.88 inches and the 305's are 30.4 inches. Here are some pics;

You will be able to run duals to the rear bumper with out any trouble, I did.

You can run 02 sims or have your rear 02's turned off with a tuned PCM. You will be able to leave the front 02's alone.

Jegs has catless y-pipes as well as gm parts direct.
