Default need ideas for rear suspension drop

I'm going to be lowering my truck soon. Looking for a few ideas. I already have a few things such as drop hangers and shackles. but I do a bit of towing so Im thinking about doing the add-a-leaf and a flip kit. dont wanna go to low. Front is only going down 2-3 inches. Thanks

you can do a flip kit and a 1" lift shackle. the shackle is shorter than stock so it would give you a little bit of lift if you didnt want the full 6" drop from the flip kit. and best of all no taking apart and fumbling with the leaf pack.

I would add helper air springs. They only add more capabilty when you want it. Not when you don't at the cost of ride quality.

my truck is around a 3/5 with 3" front springs, 4" lowering leafs, 2" shackles and add-a-leaf. i notched the frame because i tow with my truck and have no problems at all. last week i towed my 63 impala on an 18ft steel deck trailer with no issues, never touched the bump-stops.

without trailer

with car and trailer

Your truck is a C3, so it's AWD, right? Doesn't it have a 2 inch block between the spring & axle? Remove it, and put on the lowering shackle, and see if you like it. It will still tow like stock.

Yes, it is AWD. I removed the block, but reenstalled it when I got some bigger tires. The pic in my sig is with the block removed. Wasnt sure if I was going to go up or down with it. But Ive decided it will look so much better it I droped it with a nice set of 20 or 22" rims. I'll have to start with that. And go from there. Thank you for the advice.
