A tru track never "locks" and it can't, look at it's design. It just shifts power back and forth depending on which tire has more traction. That's the whole point of torque biasing. So yes you will spin both tires with a tru track, sometimes......... You can make an open diff roast off both tires depending on the situation if you want to get technical because it all has to do with suspension load and traction. You can make a tru track peg leg pretty easily actually, which is why I see them as useless in a pickup truck or anything really where straightline traction is a concern. Take an icy road as an example....... The only benefit of a tru track is it really has nothing inside to wear out. But then again a Detroit Locker has little to wear out inside either and lasts close to forever but everyone hates those because they say they are too harsh ( I love them, lol). But the naysayers of a locker have probably never lived with one either and just read on a forum that they are no good on the street. It's all perspective on a lot of this stuff. I live in the land of ice and snow and love a locked rear end, and the next guy who never sees more than rain thinks they are horrible to live with. Perspective!
