Default need suspension help

Guys I have a 2000 scsb 1500 with an ls3, big cam, head work, FTI 3800 stall, 4L80e, and 4.56 gears. It has 28" m/t drag radials @ 20psi pressure but I still blister the tires off at anything under a 40 roll...the suspension is BONE stock. Before I put the nitrous to it I need to fix the traction issue, but I'm clueless when it comes to suspension. I have a set of 1" drop shackles for the rear that I haven't installed and I plan on getting some Caltracs in the near future...What do you guys recommend for shocks? Any other recommendations? Thanks for any advice!

I have a set of 28" Hoosiers but i do all street racing, cruising, etc. and they aren't dot approved.

The shocks on the truck are 16 years old with 210k miles on them so I know it's time to upgrade those. What do you recommend?

I guess it really just depends on your budget. I used to street drive mine and had QA1's on all 4 corners with the rears relocated. It worked very good.
