Default New Beilstein HD Shock Break In?

Got some Beilsteins HD's on the way and wondering what to expect in the beginning.
I hear they are firmer at first and settle out?
Is this true?
If so for how long and to what degree?

Going from stock Z71 Tennecos w/44k on them.

I just put mine on, so I don't know anything about break-in.

Thanks,

I subscribed to the thread awaiting your down the road comments. I'll post here on my first impressions in a few days and again in a few weeks.

I didn't notice any break in when I installed mine, the truck rode great intantly and stayed that way until I lowered it, and it still isn't all that bad considering how compressed the shocks are.

Bilstein shocks are on sale now at the Tire Rack.

I think this is a good price for an HD shock. I'm thinking about replacing mine but I only have 35k on the truck. Not quite sure if this will be that much of an improvement.

I put bilsteins on my truck and drove it, didn't know anything about a break in. They work pretty well for me, they might be the HD's I think the guy said they were 5100 series or something like that. They are silver instead of the yellow and blue.
