Default New shocks

Just installed new adjustable air shocks in the rear on my rcsb. Have to say the best way to go I've tried so far. Fully filled it rides like a cadillac even with the rear end flipped. I still have some rake I'm trying to get rid of. Anyone know if pulling out a leaf would help do this or would it just cause me to bottom out more since its not notched? Thanks.

flip kit and no notch is almost guaranteed to bottom out, and i wouldn't pull a leaf out.

If I flipped the axel back to the bottom and then took a leaf out would I have a better ride?

no, without the bottom leaf i dont think it will ride very well you will have alot more axle wrap and you would lose alot of load capacity (i know you have air shocks), even if you did it would only drop it a few inches.

I went ahead and ordered a notch. Guess I'll do that and try shackles and hangers.

you dont need a notch with just shackles and hangers its what i have for a 4" drop and i hardly ever bottom out.

+1, not that I personally have hangers (which I don't), but I know that you can go down 4" (2wd, shackles and hangers, or 4" lowering springs) or 6" (4wd, same as 2wd + removing lift blocks), and get by without a notch. tdrumm had the Hotchkis 2/4 TVS with 4" rear springs and no notch and very rarely bottomed out...it does happen but not on every bump you hit.

Monroe. I took them off today, after replacing them twice I've went with regular shocks.
