new suspensions setup-trying to get it to hook
#63
thanks for the input. price is definately a factor, but also here lately, my setup has been working great with the rancho shocks. of-course i just changed the entire rear suspension setup so im crossing my fingers that i didnt take a step back. im going to run these on the track before making any decisions, but with the factory shock setup with the ranchos at 7 of 9 on firmness and the cal-tracs i was cutting 1.68 60' times on motor with absolutely zero tire spin. taller gears and a bigger converter will hopefully push it even deeper into the 1.6 range and the 125 shot out of the hole will get me 1.5's. all in theory ofcourse.

i am having similar issue, I plan on swapping to the air bar set up, what shocks do you recommend cost not being an issue. I was going to go the cal trac route again but getting rid of the leafs completely i like better then i dont have to deal with spring unloading. If i try to launch my truck it wheel hops bad.

nope...it's not done yet. got a big part of the equation done over the weekend though. saudered and heat shrunk all of it, till need to tape and loom the wiring but it's running on the new fuel cell. i lost the charcoal box, and oem tank and installed the fuel cell. had to modify the fuel pump (shorten it) to make it work, extend fuel lines and extend wiring. heres some unfinished pics. i also need to vent the line that used to go to the charcoal box.
hopefully 20 gallons back behind the axle will help it bite. im feeling really good about the combo of parts. 1.5's in the ecsb are so close i can smell it
it wont be on the track until i get both nitrous kits up and running, the stand alone cell wired up and the converter restalled to 4200 or so.
