Looking at the spec sheets on the part numbers I looked up I must be comparing the front on a '90 to the front on a '99 instead of the rears on a '99. The rears on a '99 are very deep dish rotors and I am not sure the clearance needed will be had with those shallow '90 fronts. At Least the brake hose would be in a better spot. Gonna play around with it a bit more before I give up and go with drums.

I think drums is the easiest route. Lucky me my buddy wants disk brakes real bad and is willing to pay me for the swap! Wont find a better deal anywherr else lol

Pulling axle shafts and running new lines is my biggest gripe, not sure a junkyard wants to do all that work for cheap either (to get the donor stuff off a good axle). Finding someone to trade like you did would be ideal, could swap masters as well for the right proportioning.

After changing my approach and realizing that the backspace of the rotor is not important if I am going to chuck the parking brake junk anyway, this setup should work awesome. I measure over 5/8" clearance at the drop center of a a 16" steel wheel which should give 1/8" on a 15" steel wheel at the tightest spot.

Total investment so far is 125 worth of parts store parts (pads calipers and rotors) a custom bracket for each side, and an inch of weld on each side to hold the line bracket to the axle. Should install without taking the axle shafts out if all goes to plan.

Need to get my new used 3:73 axle in the shop so I can measure it up for the brackets and get it made before I do the swap from my wimpy 3.42 open axle. Photos to follow.

Just drove it today, Works great with 16's and I have 5/8" clearance so there should be about 1/8 or better on my new 15" wheels, which should be done and ready this week. Will make a thread with photos when time allows.
