Default New to the truck side and I have a few ?'s

I am about to pickup an arrival blue 04 RCSB w/ a 5.3 on Thursday and I have a ton of quick little questions about it. I would like to drop the rear a bit to level the truck and I am curious what the best way to do this is. Also the truck has an eaton w/ 3.42's and I am worried about the 3.42's; just how bad are they?

Thanks,
Eric

You could drop the rear with shackles for cheap... Ive got 3.42's in mine and if you do a lot of interstate driving they are really nice.. My truck is a dog off the line but it wont be that way for long

drop shackles will drop it level for cheap. gears depend on what you want the truck to do.

keep the 3.42's and see if you like them. look on the bright side, better MPG. and you got better acceleration top end, especially for passing people.

you can add some mods for low end torque. try long tube headers, they are good for down low. e-fans free up some HP.

i would also recommend a 3000 stall TC but that is mostly for guys that like to race
