Default Nitto Drag Tires

Are these worth a hoot?
How far are these away from a Slick?

Never had 555r's, but I can tell you that actual slicks will hook alot better than "cheater" DOT slicks, mainly because of the compound - so the 555r, while good for the street, would not hook nearly as well as a actual slick.

I know that they would hook alot better, but some real slicks are dangerous around town. I too was looking into these tires mainly cause my truck does not grip for a crap. Please chime if anyone know if these are worth it. Grip but I dont think they make 20's I know for sure they make 18's

The Nitto's are awesome. They are a very soft compound so they will not last long, but they are sticky. I had some a pretty heavily modded 6 spd Camaro and they stuck no problem.

I have ran Nitto NT555rs on my T/A for daily driving for the last 3yrs... They don't hook well on the street (they are still better than a street tire) but at the track they hook pretty damn good once given a healthy burnout to warm them up. I've only gotten 1.7 60's out of em in the T/A because it hits so hard with the 4400stall. On ET Streets I could pull 1.56s.

For what they are they work great.
