I'm telling you, if your angles are off, all kinds of bad **** can happen, and continue to happen, unless you get it fixed.

Ask me how I know.

Take the truck up to the speed where starts to shimmy and knock it in to neutral. If the shimmy goes away its in the motor, or tranny. If its not motor or tranny then check the front end specs (have it aligned) swap your tires around and have them balanced. If those things dont do it its in your drive line. You need to take it to a drivelind specialist (that is what I would do first)

same way you do a lowered truck with axle shims

they look like really thin door stops (the wedge kind)

I was thinking about this the other day:

When I went through my motor fiasco (ongoing still! ) I used the motor mounts off of the new 5.3. The new motor came out of a wrecked truck. It could have been tweaked. When i was installing the trans mount yesterday, it didnt sit all the way in the hole. I basically had to push the tranny tailhousing in order to get the holes to line up with the bottom bolt and the crossmember. Maybe this is an issue?

Fixing the problem is very simple if you have leafs and not coils. I had to get longer lower control arms, but you can use $3.00 shims, so you're in good shape there.

But - and this is a big but - YOU HAVE TO GET THE PROBLEM PROPERLY DIAGNOSED BEFORE YOU CAN FIX IT !!!!!

I hope I made myself clear.

Yessir! Loud and clear. I just dont know how it could be thrown off otherwise. I am gonna have the damn pinion angles checked before i do anything else.

I have access to my old motor mounts i think and Ill try that because its cheap and easy if my angles are off. I think that if it IS off, it will be off laterally due to the motor mounts. Hrmmm....
