I went to to try and swap in an input shaft from a np261 into my np246 transfer case and found out the bearing in the shaft is too big because it is 32 spline. I need the 32 spline shaft because I just did a 4l80e swap in my 2005 Sierra. My question is, is there a bearing out there that I could buy that would work so I could use the 261 input shaft in the 246 instead of having to buy a different input shaft? If so then I need a part number. If not then I need a part number for the correct input shaft. Thanks

 

I believe there is a narrow and wide bearing, I had both come in my rebuilt kit for my np241 Tcase, I went from the 4l60e input to the 4l80e 32 spline one. Not sure if the 261 uses the same as the 241 but if worse comes to shove but a rebuild kit and it should have both. Belive it scalled a pocket bearing and its like a cup.
