Default NV3500 clutch setup

OK guys. Been working on my Geo Tracker project. Running a NV3500 behind a carbed Vortec 4.3L. So pretty much same setup as an S10. The thing is, the Geo was setup for a cable clutch, and the NV3500 is hydraulic. Is there a way to use the cable to operate the clutch? This isn't a race vehicle so it doesn't have to be precise, just reliable and working. Just trying to keep a low budget. The trans didn't come with any components for the clutch so I'm just weighing out my options. I can install the hydraulic components fairly easy.
