OBS 4wd drop...
I was looking around online for drop kits for my Tahoe. I think I want to go the lowered route rather than lifting. I know 2wd are easier to lift, but I like the availability of my 4wd in snowy situations. I found the 3/4 kit from Belltech, and I am probably going to go that route unless someone knows of a better kit. My question is can I fit a 305/35/24 with this or would I be better off with a 305/40/22...Would I have any turning issues if I run a 24, any rubbing issues with the width? Post any problems I would have, or post up if it would work. I would like 24s, but i'll go 22s if I have to...Thanks

24's will not work, eiher would the 305/40R22's/
I have a 99 4x4 tahoe 2/3 drop and the the 305/40r22's rubbed a little bit. That is not the main problem though. Since the OBS 4x4 front wheels stick out, when the front suspension travels it hits the fender and can cause damage to the fender and the tire. It happened to me.

24s should work diameter-wise because the new tires are the same height as my stock tires, i am worried about the width though, I know backspacing has a lot to do with it, but should i step down to a 295 series tire? I know its only 10mm, but would that make enough difference?

The problem lies in the backspacing. Your stockers won't rub because they have perfect backspacing. No rim you are going to be able to afford is going to have equal backspacing. The only way you could do that would to be to custom order some Intros, Billet Specialties or any other $800+ per rim setup. $800 is conservative too for billet 22's.

ok, right now i am just thinking **** the drop kit and just going 22s...can i fit 305/40/22 without any modification, i see tons of trucks like mine rollin on 22s, so should i assume i am ok, or am i missing something that they might have modded?
