OEM stall speed??

Default OEM stall speed??

Can someone tell me the approx. stall speed of the stock converter on a 2002 chevy 2500HD 6.0L?

Far as I know its around 1600rpms.

It's at least 2000 rpm.....the 1500HD I have listed flashes to around 2400 rpm.... and it's trans is as stock as stock can be. That's with around 1500 extra pounds of weight in the bed which elevates it slightly of course.

The 373's that truck has don't help the matter either, even with 245/75R16's on it. A 4.10 geared truck would be slightly less again.

They flash higher than a 4L60E's convertor does, but people always forget that weight and gearing play a factor in that. In a 2wd/4wd short box half ton it probably is only 1600 rpm......

my stock 4L60E would stall to about 1600..
my stock 4L80E will stall 2400-2500 ish behind my stock LQ4
with 6# boost it will stall 3000-3100ish.
