OEM vs. Brand name gears

OEM vs. Brand name gears
I'm planning on doing a 3.42 to 4.10/Truetrac swap here in the next month are two, and I'm just doing a little research on what route I should take.
I'm planning on either getting my Truetrac through summit or O'reilly (i recently got a job there). I haven't checked how cheap I can get it through them for yet, but it is $409 on Summit. Part number 913A481
Next, the gears. I'm looking on summit and they carry Motive and Richmond for around $180 for the 4.10's. Are those good prices, or should I go for another brand? Also, would I be better off grabbing some new or used OEM 4.10s instead?
and finally, the install kit. I currently have 108k on the clock, would I need an install kit for this swap? Could I get away a summit brand install kit for about $70?
Help me out

I say go with the Motives or Yukons from what ive heard... those prices sound about right. Summit brand should be ok for the install kit and yes get one.

The new style OEM gears for the 8.6 rears can be a little more difficult to setup due to the way the gears are cut. They're cut at more of an angle and they have to be setup real tight to get a decent pattern. But any good rear end guy shouldn't have a problem though.

I've become a big fan of Motive. The past 6 or so gear installs i've done have been Motive. I used the same pinion shim as stock everytime and half the time used the stock carrier shims to get the right backspacing and pattern. They've been a breeze to set up.
I agree on the factory backlash being tight. I checked mine when I pulled it down from stock and it was .005". Aftermarket is typically in the .008-.010" range for a good pattern, although I have gotten good patterns with motive in the .006" range.
