Quick question about the console. I have an 03 so would I need the glove box to make it fit correct or is that only for 02 and under? Also, is the tahoe console the same as an ext. Cab silverado, avalanche?

Is there anything special that needs to be done with the radiator? I think my transmission lines go into the passenger side of the radiator.

Finally got the reluctor done. It was pretty simple to make. I machined down the OD of the T56 reluctor, and machined up the ID of the auto reluctor, and made about a 0.003" interference fit. Then I heated the auto reluctor and pressed in the T56 reluctor. Boom, 40T splined reluctor. I did not center the auto reluctor on the T56 reluctor because the speed sensor isn't centered on the stock reluctor anyways, it's offset a small amount. So I tried to compensate for this. I haven't decided if I'm going to tack weld it yet. It was a damn tight fit.

I'm slowly getting my swap done, and the last big issue I have is that the cruise control doesn't work.

I am using the 40T reluctor wheel in the trans. I tried using the 4L60E sensor but it only works up to about 30 mph, then the speedo starts bouncing around and the ABS and BRAKE lights come on. The speedo is reding accurately minus the bouncing. I tried spacing the sensor closer and farther from the reluctor wheel and same result.

Then I tried using the T56 sensor with the 40T wheel and boom, speed works perfectly. No ABS or BRAKE lights, smooth as butter. But the cruise still doesn't work. It worked briefly at just over 25mph in 3rd I think. And I haven't gotten it to work otherwise, even at highway speeds.

I'm still on the stock 3.73 gears, 4.56's are going in soon. RPM in 6th on the highway is about 1400-1500 RPM. Calspeed tuned the computer. I told them about the 40T reluctor but I'm not sure if they did included it in the tune. I kinda think they did because the speedo is spot on.

Is there something in the tune that compares RPM's to speed before letting the cruise engage? It's weird that it worked for a bit and not again. Thanks

Very odd, Well in my case i have a cable throttlebody and cable cruise control. I used the 4l60e reluctor and the 5 speed sensor and the calibrated the speedo with gear and tire size. I also went into tune and told it it was a manual trans. I think thats all i did

What gears are you running, or what's your rpm in 6th on the highway? Does your cruise in any gear at any speed?
